About Kyanite Consulting, LLC
Meet the Owner of Kyanite Consulting
At Kyanite Consulting, our mission is to make a meaningful difference in the world by
empowering our customers to explore new ways of doing things, free from judgment.
We are committed to building trust and fostering a sense of community, allowing
individuals and organizations to be the best version of themselves. Our goal is to create
authentic environments that inspire growth, solve complex challenges, and deliver
innovative solutions that drive lasting customer success.
A common question is, “Why do projects or businesses fail?” At the heart of it is human
error—people making mistakes. In today’s world, there’s a fear of making mistakes
because of the risk of being discarded or overlooked. However, when companies
cultivate environments of trust, they empower their teams to be their best selves, which
in turn allows them to do their best work.
Teri has been passionate about making a difference in the world and people’s lives throughout their career. Beginning with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with a minor in Psychology from Texas A&M University, Teri wanted to learn more about people. They honed their problem-solving and organizational skills with their master’s degree in project management (MPM) and over fifteen years of experience as a project
manager, program manager, PM SME and PM Operations leader.
It was in 2020 after coming out at their workplace and exploring their gender identity that Teri truly began to understand the power of what living life authentically meant. It was from that point that Teri truly discovered their passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Teri’s passion in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is fueled by a wealth of knowledge about the challenges faced by women, the LGBTQIA+, Polyamory, Disability, Neurodivergent, trauma recovery and people of size communities.
Work experience includes:
- Hardware and professional services project/program management with project sizes ranging from small to large programs.
- Developed, built, trained on and maintained full PM Operations systems.
- Served as SME for multiple tool deployments including testing, assisting with development, process development and documentation, training development and deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
- Served as Quality Engineer working to address problems using Design Thinking methodology to assess and address internal process problems in professional services, go-to-market, Sales, and Human Resources.
- Experience building and leading employee resource groups.
- Developed operational management processes using available data to provide insight into existing metrics, projects and budget spend.
Teri lives on what they call the “bleeding edge of suburbia” that is the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex with their platonic partner, cat and bearded dragon. The last of which can often be seen on video calls.
